I wrote this about 6 months ago in my favourite cafe in Prahran after another stimulating yoga class. It’s never too late to share inspiring moments…
“I am inspired by people around me today. I sat on the next table, in my favourite cafe this morning, observing two mature Jewish couples meeting for coffee. As they ordered their cappucino’s and lattes, carefully, they immediately began talking to each other about happiness and the flow of life. Of course, I immediately tuned in. In doing so I heard nothing but respect for each other and an authentic enquiry into what inspires their happiness and the true meaning of certain words to really understand each others perspective openly. I thought I’d found the gateway to my ideal new world and entered it.
This was one of those simple but miraculous moments in life. Although I felt a tad intrusive I also considered this moment an honour to be privy to hearts embracing the meaning of life in a grounded and respectful way, with ease and grace.”
Earlier that morning I was equally fortunate to have a conversation with a young woman who authentically shared some recent experiences on her travels that disappointed and dismayed her. As we spoke of what is possible in such circumstances her eyes lit up, and became more and more animated and empowered, as she realized what she can create with who she is as a result of her past experience. I so love observing and sharing in the heart opening phenomena.
My day was already complete, having connected deeply with some beautiful people, and it was only 11 am.
I’d love to hear some of your stories about sharing a heart opening moment, either yours or anyone else’s moment.

These are times of great change. Both in our inner and outer worlds. The following may be of service to you and if you’re reading it it may well be timely.
“I am not here to learn from you, although I will learn from you. You are not here to learn from me although you will . The teacher and the student walk together.”
Where there is an enquiry everything is your teacher. When you are open to learning you will see, hear and feel what is there before you to take you forward on your journey.
To stay solid but open in your own journey, it is wise to only speak in depth of sensitive matters with those who believe in you, who are open to their own enquiry and love you unconditionally. It can be a ‘mine field’ where there exists self judgement. And, I suggest, there is particles of self judgement lurking in unsuspected places. Thus great courage is necessary to trust the process of life knowing that everything you need to move forward is there for you in the perfect way at the perfect time. Surround yourself with loving friends and things that bring you comfort.
Stumbling through new territory on the journey towards wholeness also takes forgiveness and unconditional love of self in each moment. Although you are already whole you are learning at ever deepening layers towards a resonance with Truth.
Beware of certainty and self righteousness for they can blind you to what wisdom may lie beneath the surface, and used to mask a momentary lack of willingness and courage to look at what is not yet known consciously. Staying open to new understanding, whilst treading confidently forward, can take trust in the unknown and courage to face pain. Pain, however, is on the other side of the same coin to Love. It forges a channel for love to follow. Just as the rivulet makes way for the river to flow with fresh clean water after the rains.
Affirmation . Try it if it resonates. “ I have the courage to step into unknown territory to grow in maturity and wisdom and embrace my strength, endurance and love of self. I love and trust myself no matter what. I am all I need to be…NOW. I am creator of my life“
New beginnings can be a blend of highs and lows, times of creation and letting go of the old. It can involve excitement and fear, sadness and joy.
Today I am excited about my new look Blog site and I wanted to share it. To me it means the beginning of a new phase and one that joins the collective in our journey towards a loving cohesive world, a world that cares for one another, a world that is built on LOVE.
I invite you to browse my musings and inspirations, dance with me and see how I can contribute to your journey.
I was listening briefly to a presentation by John DiMartini this week on Genius. He announces to his audience that we are a genius when we listen to our inner voices and act on them. I love that! He went on to say, “…sometimes we’re not popular for taking certain actions…and sometimes those same individuals will follow in time…”
I looked back into my life and found exactly what he means. At those times when I courageously acted on an inner directive taking what I felt was a huge risk all that I needed to execute the project was available to me. Other people quickly joined in supporting my project. Often surprisingly so at the time, and sometimes in retrospect, I would find I had done something that was worthy of a ‘high five’ to say the least.
What is your Genius? What is the repetitive message that you’re not acting on? It could be the very action that has you ‘swing from the rafters’ with freedom and joy…every cell bursting with energy.
Have you ever experienced this feeling and just wanted to kiss everyone… Love is rippling through your body and bursting out looking for expression .. And all because you acted from an inner directive…the one that’s been quietly simmering til it became impossible to ignore?
As an activity, in your meditation, tune in to what you would love to do. Once you’ve identified that take it to the next step and imagine yourself taking action on that. How does it feel? See yourself going all the way to completion. How does that feel? Where in your body do you feel it?
What if you took one action today towards this idea? Then another one tomorrow? Perhaps a phone call or some initial research?
I’d love to hear how you go. Please feel free to write to me and share your experience.
Open your Heart and your Mind and see what may have been there all along.
I am reminded of how simple life is and can be when we reframe our self made complications. G A
See below for the update, below comments, 5 years on. The following was written in 2010 🙂
Seventeen years ago I had a clear picture of who I wanted to be.
I had just separated from my husband of 20 years and together we had two boys aged 2 and 5. I had no job outside the home or, until then, no clear vision as to where I, personally, wanted to go having been fully immersed in motherhood for the last 5 years. A fine balance of unprecedented joy and mental, emotional and physical challenge. With the help of a good friend I began looking forward at where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be. That picture became a reality. Today I am that woman. I feel her, think her and behave just the way I had pictured. The journey was steep at times but I was led to all the appropriate teachers to learn what I needed to learn to become ‘her’.
I have a picture of who I want to be in the future. I know I can do it because I’ve seen it and felt it before. Because I have done it I know you can because we are all the same intrinsically. We are all equally capable at that level. My commitment to you is to assist you to know this. To know you can be whoever you want to be and do whatever you can imagine by releasing what’s in the way to becoming. Of course you are already the most perfect you there is, just the way you are, however, if something’s not working for you just say what you’d rather and see what happens.
Over the past 25 years I have trained in many modalities and, together with the experience of working with thousands of people over that time, I have developed Authentic Living – A dynamic whole Body/Mind approach to healing and becoming.
I invite you to begin this wonderful journey with me. The healing of the Body, Mind and Heart begins now and continues with your commitment to yourself. The journey begins when you say “Yes, I am ready to step into the next phase of my life.” There is never anything wrong with where you are, only the willingness to keep moving forward to live the best possible life you can whilst adding value to others from the best possible place within you.
